In addition to his academic role, Dr. Anderson holds a position as a Deputy and SWAT Medic with the Sheriff Department of Lauderdale County, Mississippi, demonstrating his commitment to both medical excellence and community service. Before his tenure as a Professor and Deputy, Dr. Anderson served as a Special Agent and SWAT Medic for the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. His role as a Tactical Physician for the AMR Tactical Response Team further underscores his versatility and readiness to tackle high-stakes situations.
Dr. Anderson's journey in emergency medicine began as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and later as a Paramedic for Metro Ambulance Service in Lauderdale County, MS.
